Jesus commanded us to love one another as He loved us. And then He said that there is no greater love than to lay your life down for others, that is, to die for others (Joh.15:12-13). He also commanded us to love those who hate us, that is, our enemies (Matt.5:44). To lay down our lives for those who hate us, to die for them, that must be perfect love! (I Joh.4:18)
If we always remain in love, then God always remains in us, and we always remain in God (Joh.15:16). It is when we are hated that we easily fall out of love, and then we come outside God and Jesus Christ.
