Ships don’t sink because of the water around them. Ships sink because of the water that gets IN them! Don’t let what’s happening around you get inside you and weigh you down!
Like Martha we can be worried and troubled about many things: What will happen tomorrow, how will we survive the Covid-19 pandemic, what about our income, etc. etc. We can take a lot of “cargo” into our boat.
But Jesus is asking only “one thing”, and that is to do His will in my own life. He says: “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Ask Him what you have to do and just do it. And then He takes care of all the rest! (Luk.10:41,42. Mat.11:33; 6:33).

Thank you dear brother that was a great uplifting help, a nugget I will keep and remember when the waves of life begin to crash around my boat.

Great to read inspirational exhortations.

Yeah. This is true that it is only what is surrounded by us, that might be finance problems, diseases , e t.c. if we allow them to enter and penetrate in our mind, this can weigh us down indeed.
I my self have to think about it and my focus has to be ” Jesus, tell me one thing right now, what I must do ” . Then he is faithful to give me what is required to me.
I thank and praise God for this simplest yoke of Jesus and the way of spirit of life!

No one is void of situations , difficulties where they are tested .
Who am I to ask “WHY?” when I’m in something I don’t understand, instead I can go to the living God and ask for guidance and strength.
I remember a recent message ; “these are opportunities and your training as a soldier of Jesus Christ, if you keep your calling before you!“
My heart opened when I heard this 🤍
